Dileesha Abeysundara

Dilisha Abeysundara entered journalism profession by joining “Irudina” newspaper of Leader publications in 2004 and worked as Features Editor. At present she works as Editor of its current affairs division. She holds the Diploma in Communication and Writing from Sri Jayawardenapura University. She won the award for Young Journalist in 2007, at the Journalism Excellence Awards Ceremony, conducted by the Editors Guild and Sri Lanka Press Institute. She is an activist in the journalism field and has attended various international conferences for journalists, representing Sri Lanka. She is also the present Deputy Secretary of Free Media Movement. Dilisha is a feature writer of current affairs, politics and investigations.
